Bob Brownd, Principal

Most recently, he served as co-founder and Vice President of Candor Surgical Management, Inc. where he led the development of three physician partnerships, in addition to other projects under development at the time of his departure. Bob transitioned each project into operational status with operational oversight for each Candor project. Prior to Bob’s tenure with Candor, he was Vice President of Cirrus Health where he successfully developed five physician partnerships to operate three ASC's and two hospitals. At the time of his departure, there were multiple projects under development. He has developed many relationships with surgeons nationwide over his career. Building on these relationships, his primary focus at BHS is to continue developing strong surgeon relationships and customize each opportunity to fit the needs of the physician group. Bob also managed a team of highly effective & qualified staff who assisted in every aspect of the development and operational process.

Bob entered the medical industry in sales for United States Surgical Corporation in 1987, a manufacturer of surgical devices. In his nearly ten year tenure with this company he successfully managed three regions and was very involved in many key hospital relationships. He was recognized for his successful achievements on more than thirty five occasions. In 1995, he joined Computer Motion, Inc., a medical robotics company. As Southwest Regional Sales Manager, he successfully launched the concept of a robotic arm for use in laparoscopic surgery. In 1996, Bob joined Surgical Sense, Inc., as Southwestern Sales Manager, and played a key role in launching the "Kugel Hernia Repair". Bob was also integrally involved in development of the surgeon training model that contributed to the ultimate sale of Surgical Sense to Davol, Inc (a division of C.R. Bard) in January 2000. Bob remained with Davol as a Regional Sales Manager with responsibilities for the Western United States, focusing on the Kugel product line and surgeon training.

Bob received a B.B.A. in Marketing from University of North Texas in 1979 and currently resides in Fort Worth, Texas with his wife, Theresa. Together, they have six grown children and four grandchildren.
